According to recent reports, Italian manager Luciano Spalletti has rejected a lucrative offer from Al Nassr. The reports indicate that Spalletti turned down a deal worth €18 million from the Saudi Pro League club. The former Napoli boss had been a leading candidate to take charge of Al Nassr but has decided to decline the opportunity.

Luciano Spalletti remains a free agent, and the reason behind his decision to reject the Al Nassr offer is still unclear. After being dismissed from his position with the Italian national team, Spalletti emerged as a leading candidate to replace Stefano Pioli at Al Nassr. However, the manager has turned down the opportunity to take charge of the Cristiano Ronaldo-led side.

For Al Nassr, Stefano Pioli's tenure ended without any silverware. The team came close to the AFC Champions League title last season but were eliminated in the semifinals by a Korean side in a disappointing manner. Additionally, Pioli failed to secure a spot for Al Nassr in the AFC Champions League for the 2025/26 season, which ultimately led to his dismissal. With a disappointing 2024/25 campaign behind them, Al Nassr will be eager to secure a new coach as soon as possible in hopes of bouncing back.

What is the transfer rumor from Al Nassr?

According to recent reports, former Manchester City player Aymeric Laporte is linked with a surprise move back to the Premier League. The Spanish international is reportedly interested in leaving his current Saudi Pro League club, and Arsenal are said to be eyeing him as they look to strengthen their defense. Laporte’s potential move to the Gunners could offer him a fresh start in England.

Reports suggest that Al Nassr value the 31-year-old Aymeric Laporte at £20 million and are expected to stand firm on this valuation. In addition to Arsenal, Laporte is also a target for Athletic Club and French giants Olympique Marseille in the ongoing summer transfer window. The competition for his signature could intensify as more clubs express interest in the Spanish international.
