Lamine Yamal double downed on his performance in the recently concluded campaign and took everyone by storm. The Spaniard has been phenomenal for the national team as well as for his club, Barcelona. Lamine Yamal has done it all, from viral photos to great interviews. Amidst these, he has not only taken fans by surprise but also the former football players who are now the legends of the game. One such legend who is astonished by Yamal’s performance is Pep Guardiola. In a recent interview, the former Barcelona player and manager opened up about Lamine Yama’s performance and expressed his astonishment. 

Speaking to the media, Pep Guardiola mentioned that he was surprised by the way the winger conducted himself professionally against Inter Milan in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League. Though the club did not finish it on a winning note, Yamal orchestrated the midfield and always took the Azzuris by surprise. He also mentioned that the player has the potential to reach the heights of Lionel Messi, who also started on the flanks before he became the station. Pep Guairdola said:

I think he can do it, but on the wing he’s unbalanced. He has to find his way, and we’ll see if he can be compared to the greatest.

What did Pep Guardiola mention about his transfer plans with Manchester City? 

Speaking in an interview prior to the final game of the campaign, Pep Guardiola had mentioned there will be new players who will join the club but there will not be many. According to him, the squad is big enough and holds quality to compete for glory. He mentioned: 

Maybe the club is a little different, we'll see, but I have 24 players and I see my players, the day before in training, I said, 'Oh my god! How good they are!' But of course, new faces will come, especially in positions where we're a little weaker
