In the quarterfinals of the first revamped FIFA Club World Cup, Paris Saint-Germain are all set to face Bayern Munich. The French outfit will play Bayern Munich at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday. Both teams have been in fine form in the tournament despite the early hiccups they faced. Paris St. Germain thrashed Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami 4-0 in the Round of 16, whereas Bayern Munich had to face a tough challenge from Flamengo with the scoreline looking 4–2.

Paris St Germain vs Bayern Munich: Preview

Both Paris St Germain and Bayern Munich are fallible in the ongoing campaign as both teams have lost at least one game during the group stage. Paris St Germain lost to Botafogo whereas Bayern Munich were shocked by Benfica. However, PSG’s defeat looked like a blemish on an excellent record, whereas Bayern Munich’s defensive frailties had opened up.

Bayern Munich look less secure at the back with them conceding goals in every game barring that 10-0 win over Auckland City. The concern is growing, especially after conceding four goals in their last three fixtures. On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain have followed a familiar playbook, dominating midfield and possession to win their matches.

Paris St Germain vs Bayern Munich: Team News

Following the expiration of the contract, Bayern Munich will no longer have Leroy Sané to call up for the fixture. However, they have a lot of attacking options, including on-song Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala. Both teams have no fresh injury concerns. For Paris Saint-Germain, Ousmane Dembélé might start the first game of the tournament after making an appearance from the bench against Inter Miami in the Round of 16 fixture.
