The FIFA Club World Cup is here, and it is all set to start on June 14th with Inter Miami taking on Al Ahly at the Hard Rock Stadium. The tournament promises to be a great spectacle with clubs across the world participating in it for global domination. Once termed as a poor pre-season friendly, the tournament has undergone a revamp by FIFA to make it more entertaining and eye-catching. Who are the clubs playing in the tournament and how have they qualified?

An overall set of 32 teams are all set to feature in the tournament with significant participation from North American, South American and European clubs. The clubs are ranked based on their previous performances in the elite continental competition, which has led to multiple clubs like Liverpool, Barcelona, and Arsenal missing out on the competition. What is the schedule of the FIFA Club World Cup?

The FIFA Club World Cup is expected to be a four-week affair with it starting on June 14 and ending on July 13th, providing at least six weeks of rest for the European clubs before they start their new campaign. The tournament will be in a round-robin format with the top two teams from eight groups qualifying for the next round. The tournament will culminate at MetLife Stadium on the 13th of July.

The coveted tournament is covered by DAZN, the official broadcaster of the tournament. They have landed a landmark deal worth USD 1 billion. As a part of their acquisition strategy, they are making it accessible to everyone. 

As a part of the global coverage, they have sublicensed the rights to regional broadcasters across the globe. In the United Kingdom, it is Channel 5, whereas in the United States, it is TNT Sports, who will be broadcasting the games.
