In a complaint dated July 23, Yash Dayal has been named in a rape case. A 19-year-old woman, based in Jaipur, has registered an FIR in Jaipur, with Dayal booked under the POCSO Act. The girl, reported to be an aspiring cricketer, has claimed that Dayal sexually assaulted her repeatedly over two years. The timeline provided by the complainant reflects that at the first offense, the victim was 17, a minor, making the accusations against Dayal all the more sensitive. The 19-year-old informed the authorities that the assault continued for over two years as Dayal kept up the pretense of helping her advance in her sporting career.
More details in the case reveal that the latest incident of the assault happened during IPL 2025 when Dayal traveled to Jaipur with RCB for the scheduled fixtures. The first incident, meanwhile, is reported to have happened in the same manner, where Dayal invited the then 17-year-old to a hotel in Sitapura with a promise to offer her cricketing advice. The same pattern continued for two years before the girl officially lodged a complaint in Jaipur recently.
A similar case has already been registered against Dayal earlier this month. A woman based in Ghaziabad alleged that Yash Dayal exploited her mentally, physically, and emotionally with a promise of marriage in the future. The woman laid bare the details on social media, revealing that the authorities were lax in the proceeding because of Dayal being an influential figure.
After the case made headlines all over the media, Dayal countered the allegations by claiming that he was a victim of deceit. Following the complaints from both sides, the Allahabad High Court reportedly ordered a stay on Dayal's arrest. While the case goes on, the emergence of yet another sexual assault case has cast a serious shadow on the cricketer's profile.
