The players of opposing teams mingling at the ground following a match is a common scene in IPL. The players, some former teammates, some catching up with the seniors, make the most of the post-match broadcast. Banter among said opponents is a common sight to witness from such interactions. However, what transpired following the DC vs KKR IPL 2025 match in Delhi seemed to elude the boundary of just 'banter'. Kolkata Knight Riders picked two crucial points as they beat Delhi Capitals by 14 runs in their backyard. After the match, DC bowler Kuldeep Yadav and KKR batsman Rinku Singh were observed to be having a conversation with each other. The conversation soon escalated animatedly as Kuldeep was seen slapping Rinku Singh.

In a video which has now taken the internet by storm, Kuldeep Yadav is seen slapping Rinku Singh. The slap didn't seem a playful one as it appeared to be hitting right across the face. While it could have still been perceived as banter, the reaction of Rinku following the incident sent the internet into a frenzy. The KKR batter looked to be taken aback before he put on a flustered expression. Another slap followed the first one as Kuldeep repeated the gesture.

The video left the internet divided. While a section cleared out that it’s just two friends messing around, some people debated if it was a normal way of conversing. Moreover, people picked at the expression and demeanor of Rinku Singh following the incident, anticipating that Kuldeep's act didn't sit right with Rinku himself. However, both KKR and DC have now posted respective videos on their official social media pages to curb the incident from snowballing into a bigger issue.

In the video posted by KKR, Rinku Singh and Kuldeep Yadav are making finger hearts at the camera following the DC vs KKR game in Delhi. Moreover, in the post, captioned, "Media vs Reality," the franchise took a dig at the media sensationalizing the issue. To further de-escalate the matter, Delhi Capitals also came up with a similar post. The franchise posted the same video of Rinku and Kuldeep posing together, from a different angle. DC captioned the post, "Only Pyaar" (Only love), to indirectly refute the speculations going around.
