‘I am in touch…”- Dhanashree reveals her current status with Yuzvendra Chahal
Indian cricketer Yuvzvendra Chahal’s ex-wife Dhanashree Verma was the subject of Farah Khan’s latest episode in her vlog series on YouTube. The popular filmmaker visited Dhanashree’s house in her latest vlog and talked about a host of things, including his current status with Chahal. Since July 2022, Chahal and Dhanashree Verma had been living separately before filing for divorce in 2025. The Bandra Family Court officially granted divorce on 20th March 2025.
Chahal had, earlier, opened up on the intense turmoil he experienced after the divorce. Chahal said that he went through a period of severe depression that lasted nearly four to five months. He also admitted that he experienced suicidal thoughts during this phase.
Dhanashree has now also shed light on her life post her separation from the Indian cricketer. She has revealed that she remains in touch with Chahal through text messages.

“Mujhe jab anxiety hoti hai I start shivering”- Chahal on separation with Dhanashree
During an appearance on the Raj Shamani podcast, Chahal revealed that he faced anxiety attacks for quite some time following his separation.
“Mujhe jab anxiety hoti hai, " I start shivering. Kai baar mera face shrink hojata tha. AC chal raha hai ya AC nahi chal raha, hath thande rehte the. Us time samajh nahi aata ki kya karna hai, kya nahi karna. Dar bhi lagta ki kisiko batae ya na batae.”
What’s next for Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma ?
Dhanashree Verma will be next seen as one of the contestants in Ashneer Grover’s upcoming reality show Rise and Fall. Yuzvendra Chahal played for Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025. In 14 matches, he picked 16 wickets at an average of 26.88. As of now, he isn’t in India’s current scheme of things in any format of the game. On 24th August this year, he signed up with Northamptonshire for a short county stint.
