Patna Pirates in PKL: Performance, records, ownership – All you need to know

Patna Pirates is the most successful team in the Pro Kabaddi League. They have won three PKL titles and hold the record for securing a hat-trick of title wins in the third, fourth, and fifth seasons. The professional kabaddi team is based in Patna, Bihar, and plays its home games at the Patliputra Sports Complex. The Pirates won their first Pro Kabaddi League title in the third season of the tournament in 2016.

​The Patna Pirates team in the Pro Kabaddi League is owned by Rajesh V. Shah. He is the co-chairman and managing director of Mukand Ltd., a leading Indian industrial enterprise in specialty steel and heavy machinery.

​Patna Pirates have been part of the Pro Kabaddi League since the inaugural edition. In their maiden PKL season in 2014, Patna Pirates finished at third spot on the points table.

5. Patna Pirates hold the record for scoring the most points in a PKL final. The Pirates recorded a 55–38 win over the Gujarat Fortunegiants in the season 5 final.

Patna Pirates’ season 12 squad: 

Pitna Pirates reached the final in the last season of the Pro Kabaddi League. In the quest for their fourth PKL title, the Pirates have appointed Ankit Jaglan as their captain for the upcoming season 12. Deepak Singh is the vice-captain of the team.
