Lamine Yamal issues war cry for the game against Real Madrid but also promises CL to Camp Nou

Lamine Yamal has been one of the standout youngsters in the ongoing campaign across Europe and the world. The Spanish teenager has taken the football world by storm with his goal-scoring and playmaking abilities. He played a crucial role in helping his side mount a comeback in the league after falling behind on the points table and also led them to glory in the Copa del Rey final.

When it mattered most, he delivered on the big stages, including the Champions League. However, he fell short in the semifinals against Inter Milan in the second leg, despite giving his best effort. Following the defeat, the player stated that they would come back stronger next year and bring the trophy to Camp Nou.

On social media, Lamine Yamal posted an image from the second leg and wrote:

We gave it our all, this year it wasn't to be but we'll be back, have no doubt about it,

"Culers [Barcelona fans] we won't stop until we put this club back where it belongs, at the very top. I will keep my promise and I will bring it [the Champions League] to Barcelona, we won't stop until we achieve it

Talking about the upcoming La Liga fixture against Real Madrid, a potential title decider, Lamine Yamal issued a war cry to his teammates and fans to overcome the opposition. The post mentioned: 

But on Sunday it's another final and we need to be together. Visca el Barça!

What had happened in the UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg?

Inter and Barcelona entered the second leg with the tie finely balanced at 3-3 from the first leg. At San Siro, Inter Milan once again took the lead with a 21st-minute strike from Lautaro Martínez, followed by a goal from Çalhanoğlu in the 45th minute. However, Eric García and Dani Olmo sparked a comeback, and Raphinha scored a third goal to tilt the game in Barcelona’s favor. Despite the late resurgence, Inter Milan held firm, found an equalizer, and sealed the win in extra time, crushing Barcelona’s Champions League dreams.
