According to recent reports, Manchester City and English central defender John Stones has opened up about his future plans at the Etihad. The 31-year-old has mentioned that he would love to stay at Etihad and help his side register multiple titles while shutting down the speculations. Speaking to the media, John Stones mentioned that he loves the club and wants to stay in Manchester. He also said that he is unaware of the speculations and wants to shut it down. He said:

I'm here, I want to stay here, I love it,

I'm here to help the team, and I don't know what's been said or speculated, but I hope that kind of shuts it down

John Stones struggled with multiple injuries over the last season and featured only 20 times for Pep Guardiola’s men. Even the season before it, Stones had only 12 games under his belt.

With new arrivals at Manchester City and Akanji stepping up, Pep Guardiola looks to trim the squad. The club wants to part ways with him with Everton showing interest. While John Stones has recovered from injuries, he missed the game in the FIFA Club World Cup due to strain. However, he mentioned that he is feeling great and wants to get going. He mentioned that there are dark days when he doesn't get a chance to play and remains injured. He said:

I'm back fit, feel great, and I'm excited to get going,It's difficult when you're injured.

I give everything, on and off the pitch to be here or be ready to play games and those are the dark days.

John Stones has been pivotal in Manchester City’s dominance in the last half-decade. He has made 277 appearances for the Cityzens ever since he arrived in 2016. His best campaign came in 2022/23 where the club went on to win the treble.
