"I will not quit" – Ruben Amorim gives no-nonsense response to departure speculation

He stated that if the time came, he would leave without taking a single penny, emphasizing his commitment to the club’s success. At San Mames, Manchester United suffered a narrow defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in a scrappy game that lacked quality from both sides. A first-half goal from Brennan Johnson proved enough for Spurs to secure the victory, ending United’s dream run as they failed to score. 

Speaking to the media post-match, Amorim admitted he had nothing to show the fans this season, and that this would be a key factor in evaluating his future. However, he reiterated that it is all about faith at this point. Addressing speculation around his exit, he affirmed that he has always been open to the idea of leaving if the club or fans believe his time is up, and promised to do so without seeking compensation. Demonstrating his resolve, he said:

I have nothing to show to the fans, and we say we are going to improve because of this. At this moment, it's a little bit of faith. 

Like I said before coming here, I am always open. If the board and the fans feel I am not the right guy, I will go in the next days without any conversation about compensation, but I will not quit. 

Again, I am really confident on my job, I will not change nothing in the way I do things.
