Reports suggest that PSG’s Kylian Mbappe might have called his boss Luis Enrique a “son of a bitch” after being substituted in PSG’s Le Classique tie against Marseille on Monday. The French star could not find the back of the net in the match and was subbed off in the 64th minute when PSG was already 1-0 up, courtesy of a goal from Vitinha in the 53rd minute. Luis Enrique deemed it wise to replace Mbappe with Goncalo Ramos, who even managed to score a goal and send PSG 2-0 up at the 85th minute. Upon being asked about problems with the French star, Luis Enrique displayed irritation, saying how he was bored of the same type of questions about his relationship with the world cup winner.

The former Barcelona coach does not believe that Mbappe threw a slur or abuse at him after being subbed off and had rather positive things to say about the issue.

“What's curious is everything that's being said is based on a piece of false news. Someone has invented an insult (based on a lipreading of a video showing Mbappe as he made his way off the pitch), and then from that comes all kinds of speculations."

Luis Enrique further added that he was taking the situation in his stride in order to churn out better results for his team. “I’m taking it all in my stride. I’m very happy with all my players, Kylian included, he’s always behaved admirably.”

Kylian Mbappe was visibly upset on being subbed off by PSG boss Luis Enrique in the 64th minute during PSG’s 2-0 win against arch-rivals Marseille. The French striker was clearly taken aback as he did not expect to be taken off when more than 25 minutes remained for the match to be concluded. Mbappe even went on to post his disappointment through a picture on his Instagram account in which he can be seen with his back to the camera. The picture did not have a caption which left fans wondering how close is Mbappe towards his exit from PSG.

Nonetheless, the French striker has performed exceptionaly well this season, having scored 38 goals with 8 assists to his name in 38 appearances for PSG across all competitions. Mbappe is however expected to make a move to Real Madrid in the summer after 7 seasons with PSG.
