According to a recent post by Cristiano Ronaldo on X, it appears that the player has bid farewell to Al Nassr. Following the match against Al Fateh, in which Al Nassr suffered a defeat, Ronaldo posted a cryptic message: “Chapter is over.” With the club finishing outside the top two, they will miss out on qualification for the AFC Champions League, and reports suggest that this disappointment may be the primary reason behind Ronaldo’s cryptic message.

Writing on X, Cristiano Ronaldo thanked his fans while also mentioning that a new chapter awaits. The post read:

This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr from Manchester United following a fallout with Erik ten Hag in 2022. In the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo scored 74 goals in 77 games, becoming one of the highest goalscorers in the club's history. The 2023/24 season showcased a ruthless version of Ronaldo, as he registered 25 goals and 11 assists.

Where is Cristiano Ronaldo headed to?

The reports suggest that the Portuguese superstar is all set to join the arch-rivals of Al Nassr in a blockbuster move. Nasser Al-Huwaidi, former Al-Batin president, mentioned that the 40-year-old is Al-Hilal bound. He also suggested that this move will be a huge boost to Al-Hilal ahead of the Club World Cup, he said:

Cristiano Ronaldo is close to joining Al Hilal, and this deal will be announced in the coming days. The legend's arrival at Al-Hilal will give the Club World Cup a huge boost, and Al-Hilal will have the highest attendance in the tournament.

Nasser Al-Huwaidi also mentioned that Al-Hilal will secure three more international signings to satisfy their fans while maintaining the high standards of the sport. He added that the fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of these players. He said:

Al Hilal will certainly sign three international names in addition to Cristiano, which will enable the team to perform at a high level and satisfy its fans. Ronaldo is currently better than Mitrovic, and I don't think Al Hilal fans will object to his arrival. Rather, they will welcome him as long as he adds value to the team and contributes to winning trophies.
