The summer transfer window is yet to officially open in England and across Europe, but clubs and players have already begun early discussions ahead of the season’s conclusion. One such player attracting significant attention is Dean Huijsen, who is reportedly on the radar of top Premier League clubs such as Chelsea and Arsenal. Amid the growing speculation, Huijsen recently spoke about his ambitions following his crucial goal for AFC Bournemouth during the Premier League weekend clash against Arsenal.

When asked about a potential move and the pressure that comes with the high price tags being speculated, the 20-year-old talent responded with a calm and composed mindset. He described himself as a “chill guy” who enjoys living in the moment, both on the training ground and during matches. Huijsen emphasized that he isn't overly focused on the future and prefers to enjoy the present. He said:

I don't know...I'm a 'chill' guy, like when I celebrate. I don't think about it much. Every day I go to training, to play in the games, and I'm happy. I'm having a good time and I'm not thinking about that.

Talking about his focus for the rest of the campaign, he mentioned that he is locked in on Bournemouth and wants to win as many points as possible after they have broken records for most points by AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League. He said:

I'm focused on Bournemouth. We're having a very good season. We've already broken the points record and we want to get as many points as possible this season

What are AFC Bournemouth’s chances to land a European spot?

AFC Bournemouth, under the guidance of Andoni Iraola, have become a force to be reckoned with this season. An eighth-place finish in the Premier League would secure the Cherries a spot in the Europa Conference League, and the club is pushing hard to achieve that historic milestone. Their recent win against Arsenal has significantly boosted their chances of securing their first-ever appearance in European competition.

The Cherries are placed eighth on the points table and are a point clear of ninth-placed Brentford and tenth-placed Brighton and Hove Albion. The Cherries will play Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Leicester City in the Premier League which will decide their qualification to Europe.
