Bayern Munich legend opens up about his potential move to MLS
If recent interviews are anything to go by, Bayern Munich’s legendary striker is on his way to the United States of America at the start of the transfer window. In a recent interview, Thomas Müller admitted to making inquiries with Major League Soccer outfits. While he is not sure about the potential clubs, he opened up about the possibility of a move.
Speaking to the media, Bayern Munich’s legendary striker mentioned that there have been no concrete talks with any clubs, but he has his ideas about the league. He also stated that the coming weeks will determine what lies ahead for him next season. Despite the talks and rumors, Thomas Müller will be available for the Bavarian giants in the upcoming Club World Cup, for which he is very excited. He said:
Of course, I'm making inquiries in the U.S
I don’t know yet. There’s nothing concrete at the moment, but of course I have ideas. We're keeping it exciting. I think the next few weeks will reveal more. We still have the Club World Cup ahead of us - that will be an exciting experience
I don’t have a full strategy yet
For the German giants, Thomas Müller has been a loyal servant, having played for the same club for over 25 years. His contract is set to expire at the end of the campaign, with no signs of extension talks underway. Over 17 seasons and 502 club appearances in the German top flight, Müller has recorded 150 goals and 174 assists. He has also played a vital role in the club’s recent successes on the grand stage of European football.
What's next for Bayern Munich?
Bayern Munich have already sealed the Bundesliga title and are set to play their final game of the campaign against Hoffenheim on Saturday, aiming to end their season on a high. After completing their league duties, they will compete in the FIFA Club World Cup group stage, where they are scheduled to face Auckland City, Boca Juniors, and Benfica, starting from June 14, 15 days after the conclusion of the European leagues and cups.
