According to recent reports, Tottenham Hotspur are all set to decide the future of their manager, Ange Postecoglou. He became their first-ever manager to win the European title after multiple decades, but the future still hangs in the balance for the Australian. The reports suggest that the management is not happy about how Tottenham Hotspur played in the Premier League as they had their worst-ever finish. Spurs finished 17th on the points table, leading to the utter disappointment of fans and management, only to be salvaged by the Europa Cup. Tottenham Hotspur lost 22 of their 38 league matches, accumulating only 11 wins during the season.

Why haven't Tottenham Hotspur made their decision yet?

Tottenham Hotspur’s chairman, Daniel Levy, is currently not in the United Kingdom. This has resulted in a delay over Ange’s future. Once Levy is back, it is largely expected by the fans for a complete overhaul on and off the pitch for a better future.

What did Ange Postecoglou say about his stay in North London?

Speaking about his future, the Australian had previously mentioned that the club is yet to speak to him. Prior to the Europa League finals, there were murmurs but nothing materialized. He said:

No one has spoken to me about anything. Maybe they felt like they don't need to or maybe they are waiting for this game

Further speaking after the Europa League triumph, Ange Postecoglou mentioned that the club is still in the building phase and he wants to build on the victory. He also mentioned that the transfers happened in January aligns with his vision and is hopeful of extending his stay with the North London outfit. He said:

I don’t feel I have completed the job. We’re still building. Since I came here I had the belief of trying to win something and we have done that and I want to build on it

People back my vision. But within that, we got to the end of January, the end of the transfer window, I assessed our situation and I made a decision there and then that this was the trophy we were going to go for.
