The upcoming eight-team ICC Women’s ODI World Cup will follow a single round-robin format, with each side playing every other team once. After the group stage concludes, the top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals. Ahead of the main event, all participating teams will play two warm-up matches each, starting from September 24. India’s preparations include a face-off with England in Bengaluru on September 24, followed by a clash with South Africa on September 27 in Guwahati.
This marks the 13th edition of the Women’s ODI World Cup. In this format, every team will play seven league matches, and the top four will secure a place in the knockouts. As per the format, the top-ranked team after the group stage will go up against the fourth-placed side in the first semi-final, while the second and third-placed teams will battle it out in the second. The semi-finals are slated for October 29, and the final will take place on November 2.
A total of 31 matches, including 28 group games and three knockouts, will be played across five venues, Bengaluru, Indore, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Colombo.
