Why is Wanindu Hasaranga not playing the GT vs RR IPL 2025 match? Check RR Playing XI

As they get to Ahmedabad, Rajasthan Royals would hope to keep their winning momentum going. However, the side led by Sanju Samson is set to deal with the absence of their primary spinner, Wanindu Hasaranga, in the GT vs RR IPL 2025 match. Samson won the toss and opted to bowl first against the home team at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The skipper then named the changes in the RR playing XI for the fixture. Samson informed that Hasaranga is not playing due to some "personal reasons". Meanwhile, speedster Fazalhaq Farooqi has been named in the team against GT in Ahmedabad.

After opening their IPL 2025 campaign with a massive defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals got their campaign back on track by beating Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings by remarkable margins. The IPL 2022 runners-up, meanwhile, would look to build on it as they next face Gujarat Titans at their home. GT, meanwhile, are flying high with consecutive victories in their last three matches. While both teams look for two more points, Rajasthan would need to do it without their ace spinner, Wanindu Hasaranga.

The Rajasthan Royals spinner has been crucial to their campaign so far, scalping 6 wickets across 3 matches. Moreover, Hasaranga picked a four-fer against CSK to derail their chase as RR picked up their first win of the season after losing their first two matches. However, the spinner has opted out of playing the GT vs RR IPL 2025 match.
