The Women’s Premier League 2026 finals will be played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women and Delhi Capitals Women at BCA Stadium, Kotambi, Vadodara. This will be the second final between these two teams. The two teams also played a final in 2024, in which Smriti Mandhana's RCB emerged victorious. On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals team has managed to reach the final for the fourth consecutive time, and this time they will be desperate to end their title drought.

The Delhi Capitals are the only team in WPL history to have played in every single final but have failed to win the trophy each time. This time, they are determined to change that record. However, they face RCB, which is the best team of this season, having qualified directly for the final after winning 6 out of 8 matches. Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, found themselves in the eliminator for the first time in WPL history, where they easily won by seven wickets against Gujarat Giants.

Both teams faced each other twice this season and claimed a 1-1 victory. In the first encounter, RCB defeated DC by 8 wickets, while in the second encounter, DC tasted a victory over RCB by 7 wickets.

Pitch report – BCA stadium, Kotambi, Vadodara

The WPL 2026 Final will be played at BCA Stadium, Kotambi, Vadodara. The pitch is considered favourable for bowlers as it offers good bounce and pace. However, once the batters get their eye in, scoring runs here isn’t too difficult. As the ball gets older, batters can play their shots more freely and find runs across the ground.

So far, in this season, a total of 10 matches have been played on this surface, out of which teams batting first have won 5 matches, while teams chasing have won 5. Considering the final match pressure and previous encounters, both captains are expected to opt for bowling first after winning the toss.

RCB-W vs DC-W: Head-to-Head records

The WPL 2024 winners, RCB-W, and 3-time WPL finalists, DC-W, have faced each other in ODIs in 9 matches so far. With 6 victories, Jemimah Rodrigues & side have an upper hand over Smriti Mandhana & co.

Players to watch out for in the RCB-W vs DC-W

Best batter: Laura Wolvaardt (Delhi Capitals Women)

Delhi Capitals women's star batter Laura Wolvaardt has scored 273 runs in 9 innings, including a fifty. She is regarded as a big match player, and RCB will have to find a way to get her wicket. In the last encounter, Laura Wolvaardt remained unbeaten till the victory was confirmed for the team. She played a 42-run unbeaten innings when DC lost 2 early wickets while chasing 110. She will be eager to showcase his class once again on this pitch.

Best bowler: Nandani Sharma (Delhi Capitals Women)

Delhi Capitals’ young fast bowler Nandani Sharma has taken 16 wickets in this season thus far, including a 5-fer. She had completely dismantled RCB’s lower order in the last encounter, effectively ending RCB’s hopes of posting a challenging cricket score. He could once again trouble the RCB batters with his precise line and length and consistent bounce. Now, she will be looking to repeat the same performance. If she succeeds, the Delhi Capitals’ title drought will be over.
