Anshul Kamboj hogged the limelight at the 2024 Ranji Trophy for his scintillating spell against Kerala. The Haryana speedster became only the third player in Ranji history to claim all 10 wickets in an innings. The pacer scalped 8 wickets against Kerala on Day 2 of the first-class match, before returning on Day 3 to pick the remaining two wickets. With his historic onslaught, Kamboj joined the leagues of Premangsu Chatterjee and Pradeep Sundaram as the rare bowlers to bundle up the innings solely. 

The 24-year-old seamer made his IPL debut with Mumbai Indians last season. His debut came against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he picked one wicket in his spell. The speedster played only three matches in IPL 2024, picking up two wickets. While his ordinary performance went under the radar, his true prowess showed up in the following domestic season for Haryana.

Ultimately, CSK bagged the Haryana pacer for 3.8 crore, a massive upgrade from his base price of 20 lakhs.
