For the unversed, social media has been flooded with videos of an 11-year-old Indonesian boy showcasing his dance moves while standing on the tip of a racing boat. His move led to the discovery of the phrase ‘Aura Farming’, which is the act of looking cool and building one’s aura. Mohammed Amir recently followed the social media trend and replicated the move after picking wickets in his recent Caribbean Premier League game.
Amir rolled back the clock with a sensational performance for Trinbago Knight Riders. He picked the wickets of Raheem Cornwall and Karima Gore on the first two deliveries he bowled, making a stellar start to his spell. Amir celebrated those wickets with a unique celebration.

Later, he revealed that his celebration was inspired by a viral trending dancing move on social media.
“The wicket was offering some help early on. When there is help I always try to swing the new ball. Everybody is doing it on social media so I thought I will also do it (referring to his aura farming kid celebration).”

He picked up three wickets while giving just 22 runs in four overs. His spell was instrumental in helping the Trinbago Knight Riders restrict the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons to 146 in the first innings.
In response, the Knight Riders chased down the target with 10 balls remaining. Keacy Carty and Alex Hales played match-winning knocks of 60 (45) and 55 (46), respectively. Mohammed Amir earned the Player of the Match award for his brilliant spell. He now has six wickets to his name in four matches in the tournament.
