[Watch] Digvesh Rathi sledges; batter answers with two towering sixes in DPL 2025
The Delhi Premier League fever is underway, and we have already witnessed a lot of eye-catching moments. Central Delhi Kings and West Delhi Lions have made a fine start, winning both their first two games. Purani Dilli 6 are currently at the bottom, having lost the solitary game they have played so far. Meanwhile, a video clip featuring Digvesh Rathi, who is playing for South Delhi Superstarz in DPL 2025, has gone viral on the internet. Rathi attracted a lot of attention with his notebook celebration in the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Rathi was involved in a heated moment with the batter Ankit Kumar in the seventh match of the DPL 2025 between South Delhi Superstarz and West Delhi Lions. The battle began in the fifth over of the second innings. Upon noticing Ankit stepping out of his crease, Digvesh Rathi pulled out of his delivery stride at the last moment. Rathi then changed his tactics and bowled from round the wicket. However, just as he was about to deliver the ball, Ankit stepped away. Rathi got infuriated as the two were engaged in a brief exchange of words. Later, when Digvesh Rathi was brought back into the attack, Ankit smashed him for two massive sixes.
The video clip of the entire incident has been circulating on the internet. Here’s a look at the clip:

The Lucknow Super Giants spinner didn’t have a great outing with the ball as he was smashed for 33 runs in three overs without a wicket to his name. Ankit Kumar, on the other hand, played a match-winning knock of 96 off 46 balls.
Digvesh Rathi’s South Delhi Superstarz make disappointing start to DPL 2025 campaign
Led by Ayush Badoni, the South Delhi Superstarz haven’t made an ideal start to their Delhi Premier League campaign. They kicked off their season with a five-wicket defeat over East Delhi Riders. South Delhi Superstarz played their second match against West Delhi Lions. Batting first, Ayush Badoni and Co. made 185 for 7 in the first innings. Skipper top-scored with 48 off 25 balls. In reply, West Delhi Lions comfortably chased down the score in 15.4 overs. With two wins in two games, West Delhi are placed at second on the points tally.
