The Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered another huge victory in IPL 2026. They defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 5 wickets. Thanks to the RCB bowlers’ great performance, LSG were bowled out on 146 runs in 20 overs. In response, RCB easily chased the target in just 15.1 overs with 5 wickets in hand. Virat Kohli was the highest scorer, with 49 off 34.

Virat Kohli was playing for the first time in his IPL career as an impact player. He was also not looking well in the previous game against the Mumbai Indians either. He was suffering from his ankle injury and general illness as well. This issue forced him to leave the field.

After the match against Lucknow Super Giants, Virat stated that he is still not 100 % fit. This is not good news for his billions of fans and also for Indian Cricket. With the help of 49, Virat Kohli also became the current orange cap holder of IPL 2026. He now has 228 runs in 5 innings, including 2 half-centuries. During receiving the orange cap in the post-match presentation, he shared an update on his injury & health.

“Yeah, I’m feeling much, much better than the last game," Kohli told the broadcasters. “I’m still not 100%. My knee was a bit sore in the last game. Even health-wise, I’ve been under the weather for four or five days now. So yeah, just getting back up to my best."

“I started off well today, so I was happy with my intensity. Then again, would have liked to carry on and finish the game off. Sometimes you have to take the conditions into account as well. The pitch slowed down considerably, and I just wanted to probably keep going in the same manner, but yeah, in the end should have probably finished that one off as well," he said.

With the victory over LSG, RCB dethroned Rajasthan Royals from the top position, and once again became the table topper. Royal Challengers Bengaluru will now face Delhi Capitals at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 18. Ahead of the game, RCB fans are hoping that Kohli will be 100 per cent fit for this match. Virat Kohli's health is not only the RCB fans' concern but also for Indian Cricket fans.

Last year, when RCB faced DC at their home, DC defeated them, and now, RCB wants to take revenge for that defeat.
