RR vs MI Match Prediction: Who will win today's IPL 2025 match?
Rajasthan Royals take on Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday night in the Indian Premier League, as the tournament heads into its 50th game for the season. Both sides are coming off dominant wins and would look to carry on that momentum now. The hosts Rajasthan Royals beat a puzzled-looking Gujarat Titans last time around as 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a spellbinding 35-ball hundred.
The teen sensation, alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, has been the shining light for Rajasthan this season, while the rest of the team has struggled for consistency. Their bowling has been a bit of a letdown as well, barring Jofra Archer, who has been amping up his pace. It is a must-win game for Rajasthan tonight if they are to keep their playoffs dream alive.
Mumbai Indians are on a five-match winning streak, as their team seem to be clicking into gear. The return of Jasprit Bumrah has massively bolstered their bowling, making the likes of Chahar and Boult also look more effective. MI’s spinners though are yet to make their mark this season in the IPL. On the batting front, Mumbai Indians are blessed with a solid Indian core, with International regulars like Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Hardik Pandya all part of their batting line-up. The overseas players Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks have found their form as well, making this MI batting unit fearsome on paper.
The visitors are in fine form and seem to have a scarily strong line-up, but Rajasthan are the cornered tigers who are fighting for survival out here. The Royals have been very dependent on their top order, and need the likes of Jofra Archer and Fazalhaq Farooqi also to have a good day to keep this MI batting unit quiet. They also have the advantage of playing at home as Mumbai last won in Jaipur back in 2012.
Despite Rajasthan Royals coming off a win and playing at home, Mumbai Indians are expected to win the clash, given the kind of form they are in right now.
Here's a look at the playing XIs of both teams:
