Rohit Sharma played his last Test match in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Rohit received a lot of criticism for not performing well with the bat. He managed 31 runs across five innings at a dismal average of 6.20. Due to his poor form, he dropped himself from the fifth Test match to give Shubman Gill a spot in the playing XI. His move didn’t receive positive feedback as various former cricketers expressed their displeasure on social media. India lost that Test by six wickets and also lost the series 3-1.
