According to the report, Rishabh Pant will miss both events due to the fracture sustained during the Manchester Test against England. The injury occurred at Old Trafford when a yorker from Chris Woakes struck Pant’s foot. He was immediately taken off the field and underwent scans that confirmed the fracture, sidelining him for six weeks. Despite the injury, Pant showed remarkable determination by returning to bat the next day, scoring a crucial fifty that helped India secure a draw.
Pant was eventually ruled out of the final Test at The Oval, where India clinched a thrilling six-run victory to level the series 2-2. Meanwhile, the report also noted that Pant’s injury does not require surgery. India’s Asia Cup 2025 campaign begins on September 10 against the UAE, with most matches expected to be played in Dubai.
