India A suffered a huge defeat against Pakistan A during the Rising Star Asia Cup tournament in Doha, Qatar. From group B, under the leadership of Jitesh Sharma, India A faced Pakistan A, in which arch-rivals registered an 8-wicket victory with 40 balls to spare. After being invited to bat first, Team India bowled out on just 136 runs in 19 overs. The Indian Team faced a huge collapse after the first 10 overs. Till the first 10 overs, India scored 91 runs with a loss of 3 wickets.

However, after this, the Indian Team lost their wickets at regular intervals, even though they didn’t play all 20 overs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored the highest 45 runs, while Naman Dhir contributed 35 runs. For Pakistan, Shahid Aziz took the most 3 wickets while Saad Masood and Maaz Sadaqat claimed 2 wickets each, respectively. With this, the India Team bowled out on just 136 runs in 19 overs.

In response to 137 runs, Pakistan totally outplayed the Indian Bowling and easily chased down the target in just 13.2 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Maaz Sadaqat scored 79 runs, and the other batters just contributed to him. With this victory, Pakistan has almost cleared their spot for the semi-finals. Following Pakistan’s victory, ACC president and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi congratulated Pakistan’s Team. He wrote in his X (formerly Twitter) account.

“What a proud moment for Pakistan and for the Board today! Our Pakistan Shaheens defeated India A by 8 wickets, chasing down the target in 13.2 overs. A dominant, fearless, and unforgettable performance in the Asia Cup Rising Stars Tournament in Doha. Superb cricket by our young guns-the future of Pakistan is shining bright. Congratulations to the nation!"

Mohsin Naqvi's post is not unexpected. For the last few months, he has been in the headlines regularly. Especially for his actions after the Asia Cup 2025 final, when, on his instructions, an official removed the Asia Cup Champions Trophy from the stage without any explanation. He decided to take the Asia Cup 2025 winner's trophy off the stage and take it with him. He did not hand over the trophy to the winning Indian team during the awards ceremony, as Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav refused to accept it from him. India has not yet received the trophy.

Once again, neither team shook hands with the other in this Rising Star Asia Cup match. Pakistani players celebrated their victory as if they had never won against the men in blue.

There were rumors that Pakistani players refused to shake hands with Indian players. A video that refutes all of these rumors is also making the rounds. Pakistani players are seen in this video shaking hands with their coaches and support staff. However, that video did not feature any Indian players.

Team India-A will face Oman in their next cricket match, while Pakistan takes on the UAE on November 18.
