Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best bowlers regarded as one of the best bowlers in the world. The 30-year-old cricketer made his T20I debut for the Indian team in 2016 against Australia in Adelaide after performing well in 4 years of domestic cricket, where in his debut match in 2012-13-Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, helped his side clinch its maiden title victory. Talking about Jasprit Bumrah's stats in T20I cricket, the right-arm unorthodox bowler has represented the Indian team in 65 T20I games, where he managed to pick up 79 wickets with an efficient economy of 6.44 by conceding 1500 runs in 1397 balls, having the best figures of 3 wickets for 11 runs.

If we look at India's Yorker King's record in the shortest format of the game, he is currently the 4th highest wicket-taker for the Indian team, with 79 T20I wickets in 90 games. Apart from that, he is the third bowler in the history of cricket to bowl most maiden overs in T20I cricket and has recently surpassed Bhuvneshwar Kumar to achieve this feat. Till now, Bumrah has bowled 11 Maiden overs for Men in Blue in the shortest format of the game. 

Not only that, his ability to bowl toe-crushing yorkers during the death overs has owned, him the record for being the 8th bowler to take the most wickets by bowled in a T20I career. The star Indian Pacer has achieved this incredible feat by having 31 bowled dismissals.

After returning to the Indian team due to a back injury last year against the Ireland series, Bumrah's return to the Indian team is just like a roller-coaster ride as in his first debut series as a captain, he was awarded as the player of the series award with winning the series by 2-0, which made him pick in India's squad for Asia Cup 2023 and ICC Men's 2023 World Cup.

Bumrah is a star for the Indian team and in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup, he has proved himself by bowling a match-winning spell against India's arch-rivals Pakistan by taking 3 wickets and giving just 14 runs in his 4 overs spell, for which he was awarded Man of the Match. After match-winning performance against Pakistan, India has made their way into the Super-8 of the T20 World Cup after winning in their 3 back-to-back games in the group stage. India will be playing their first Super 8 match against Australia on June 24th, 2024.
