After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the India Women got off to a fine start at the top as their openers, Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal stitched an impressive partnership of 48 runs. However, both these opening batters failed to convert their starts into big scores and moreover, it was another failure for the Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur who scored just 19 runs off 34 balls. Harleen Deol looked in a superb touch scoring 46 runs off 65 deliveries that included 4 fours and 1 six.

The trio of Jemimah Rodrigues, Sneh Rana and Deepti Sharma contributed with some exciting cameos to keep the scorecard ticking in the middle-overs. However, it was a quick-fire unbeaten knock of 35 runs off 20 balls from Richa Ghosh that helped India Women reach a fighting total of 247 runs in their quota of 50 overs. For Pakistan Women, Diana Baig bowled really well picking a total of four wickets while the duo of Sadia Iqbal and Fatima Sana ended up taking two wickets each.
