IND vs SL: Predicted India playing XI for the Colombo Test against Sri Lanka
Following a massive 165-run victory over hosts Sri Lanka, the visitors, the Indian team, are now looking to seal the series with a win in the second Test match and complete a clean sweep. The second & last test match of the series will be held between two teams at SSC, Colombo, on August 23. This match is a must-win match for the hosts, Sri Lanka, to avoid a home series defeat.
Team India is currently looking superior to the hosts. Reports suggest that the Indian team might enter with a change in the playing XI. As per reports, off-spinner Saransh Jain is set to make his Test debut in the second game against Sri Lanka. For him, Kuldeep Yadav might sit on the bench.
Apart from this, the rest of the playing XI will potentially be the same. Yashasvi Jaiswal will open the innings with KL Rahul. Yashasvi Jaiswal wants to play a big innings in this upcoming cricket match. His cricket score was 32 & 0 in the first Test. KL Rahul is looking impressive. Galle Test centurion Devdutt Padikkal, captain Shubman Gill, and wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant will bat in the middle order. Skipper also wants to contribute big. Padikkal scored a superb ton in the first innings of the Galle Test, while Pant also scored a fifty in the second innings.
Following them, veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and talented wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel will bat. However, it will be very interesting to see whether the management considers Sarfaraz Khan or once again keeps him on the bench.
Saransh Jain and Manav Suthar will be two spinners, while Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna will be the pacers. It is almost certain that Jammu & Kashmir’s Auqib Nabi will have to wait a little longer for his opportunity. The Indian bowling unit did a terrific job in the last match. Manav Suthar took 10 wickets in the match and became the player of the match.
