IND vs PAK: Team India rattles Pakistan in the no-contest Asia Cup 2025 clash
WOW PERFORMANCE! Team India have managed to register a pretty comprehensive 7-wicket victory over arch-rivals Pakistan in their Asia Cup 2025 clash hosted at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday. It was quite an easy victory for the Men in Blue as both their bowlers and batters came up with a wonderful collective effort to outplay the opposition in all the departments. The Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team have now witnessed two amazing wins in the ongoing T20I competition, adding a total of four points to their kitty and maintaining the top position in the Group A standings.
IND vs PAK: India thrashes Pakistan by 7 wickets in the Asia Cup 2025 match
Pakistan captain Salman Agha won the toss and elected to bat first. However, Pakistan once again got off to a horrific start as they ended up losing two wickets in the opening two overs as the duo of Saim Ayub and Mohammad Haris were sent back by Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah respectively. The pair of Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan came together to bail their team out of trouble for a small partnership of 39 runs. But then, left-arm spinner Axar Patel rattled the opposition by removing both Fakhar and skipper Salman Agha in quick succession.
Pakistan never really got going in their entire innings with the bat as they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. After having delivered a match-winning performance with the ball in the last match against UAE where he took as many as four wickets, Kuldeep Yadav came up with another brilliant spell of spin bowling, bouncing out the Pakistani batting line-up. He picked the wickets of Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Nawaz in two consecitive balls to help India gain the dominating hand in the IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025 clash.
Kuldeep Yadav ended his fantastic spell with a total of three wickets and conceded just 18 runs in his quota of four overs. On the back of a superb bowling effort, India managed to restrict Pakistan for a below par score of 127/9 in 20 overs. For India, Kuldeep finished with three scalps while the duo of Bumrah and Axar claimed two wickets each.
In reply, India's swashbuckling opener Abhishek Sharma once again came in an all guns blazing mood as he smashed Pakistan's premier fast bowler Shaheen Afridi for 10 runs on the first two deliveries. Shubman Gill failed to contribute much with the bat as he was dismissed for only 10 runs off 7 balls. On the other hand, Abhishek also lost his wicket after scoring a quick-fire cameo of 31 runs off only 13 deliveries that included 4 fours and 2 sixes.
The duo of skipper Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma then stitched a fine partnership of 56 runs for the third wicket to set the platform of the run-chase. Tilak played an important knock of 31 runs while Suryakumar remained unbeaten for 47 runs off 37 balls as India ended up chasing the target with a total of 25 balls to spare.
