IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025: Why is Arshdeep not playing India vs Pakistan match? Check India Playing 11
In a big breaking news update, Team India is once again not playing their premier pace bowler Arshdeep Singh in the massive IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025 clash being hosted at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Both these teams will be very much high on confidence as they are coming into this game after winning their previous matches quite comprehensively. The Men in Blue registered a smashing 9-wicket win over UAE in the Asia Cup 2025 campaign opener while Pakistan defeated Oman by a convincing margin of 93 runs during their last match.
Why is Arshdeep Singh not playing India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 match?
After losing the toss and being asked to bowl first, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav revealed that left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh is still not included in the India playing 11 for this game against Pakistan. He was also not part of the side during India's previous game against UAE. While talking about Arshdeep Singh stats in T20I cricket, the pacer has managed to pick up as many as 99 wickets from 63 matches at a fine economy of 8.3. On the other hand, Arshdeep holds the record for taking most wickets in T20I cricket for India.
Team India have once again went ahead with Jasprit Bumrah as the specialist fast bowler alongside the seam-bowling all-rounder duo of Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube. Incidentally, Arshdeep Singh played his international match earlier this year against England on February 2 which was an ODI game. He did not got a single game during India's triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the five-match IND vs ENG Test series.
"We were looking to bowl first, happy with it. We played just one strip away, was a nice wicket and better to bat on in the night. It's humid so hoping for some dew. Same team," stated Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav during the toss.
