IND vs ENG: Predicted India playing XI for the 4th T20I
The India vs England fourth T20I of the 5-match series will be played at County Ground, Bristol on July 9. After the first match ended with no result and 2 consecutive losses in the next two games, the Indian team has already lost the opportunity to win the series. Now, if India wins the remaining two matches, the series will be ended on 2-2 draw. But for this, the Men-in-blue will have to enter with their best performance; otherwise, they will lose the series. They have already faced a 0-2 clean sweep against Ireland a few days ago, and now they are on the brink of facing another series defeat.
In the last T20I, Team India faced their biggest ever defeat in a T20I match. They were bundled out for just 76 runs in 11.4 overs while chasing 202 runs and lost the match by 125 runs. For the fourth T20I, the Indian team management might once again make some bold calls while selecting the playing XI.
Sanju Samson could return to the playing XI after missing two consecutive matches. It will be interesting to see whom he replaces. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who was given a chance in the playing XI in Sanju's place, has been dismissed after scoring just 14 and 13 runs in the two matches so far. Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma have also been struggling consistently during the UK tour.
According to a few reports, Tilak Varma could be given a rest from the 4th T20I. Abhishek Sharma (112 runs) is currently the highest run-scorer in this series, and for the benefit of the Indian team, he needs to stay at the crease for a long time. However, it will be very interesting to see who will be his partner in the next cricket match — Vaibhav Sooryavanshi or Sanju Samson.
Head coach Gautam Gambhir also indicated that Sanju could be included in the India playing XI for the remaining matches.
The team's bowling & fielding performance has been ordinary so far. While the bowlers have bowled well in patches, they have failed to maintain pressure during crucial moments; consequently, opponents have managed to put the Indian team under pressure in every match, and the results are evident to all.
Apart from this, Suryansh Shedge could also be included in the India playing XI. However, the rest of the playing XI is likely to remain unchanged.
