A man who wears his heart on his sleeve, Gautam Gambhir was extremely passionate when playing for India. However, we have often seen him animated while sitting in the dugout as a coach. After the fall of Joe Root’s wicket on day four of the Lord’s Test, Gambhir couldn't hold his emotions as he was spotted roaring from the balcony of the Lord’s Cricket Ground. After India had left England tottering at 87 for 4 in the second innings, Joe Root and Ben Stokes provided some stability to their innings with a 67-run partnership for the fifth wicket.

England went past the 150-mark and India needed a breakthrough to deny England posting a substantial total. And, it was Washington Sundar, who came to their rescue. He rattled Joe Root’s leg stump with the one that slid under his bat as he attempted to sweep. Sundar got the crucial breakthrough, and the cameras caught Gautam Gambhir reacting animatedly.

“Go, F*** off”- Gambhir hurled a mouthful following Joe Root’s dismissal. England’s former captain was dismissed for 40 off 96 balls. Soon, he also flattened Jamie Smith’s off-stump with the one that skidded on even as the English wicket-keeper was expecting the ball to turn.

Sundar’s 4 for 22 helped India bundle England out for 192

Sundar continued to dazzle after tea as he sent England skipper Ben Stokes back for 33. A flighted delivery, that drifted into the batter, tempted Stokes to go for the slog, however the length wasn’t ideal for the shot, and the middle-stump was rattled.

Bumrah didn’t take time to get rid of Carse and Archer, but it was Sundar who wrapped up England’s innings on 192 by castling Shaoib Bashir, thereby claiming his fourth wicket of the day. At that stage, India looked favourites as England had set a modest target of 193 to win the Test match. However, the hosts came out all guns firing with the ball. Jofra Archer picked Jaiswal’s wicket for the second time in the Test match, while Karun Nair’s vigil lasted 33 balls for his 14-run knock. Brydon Carse complimented Archer with a superb spell with the new ball.

After getting Nair leg-before, he also pinned Indian captain Shubman Gill leg-before for just six runs. Akash Deep, came as a nightwatchman, fought hard, but Stokes eventually had the last laugh. The former got out on one at the stroke of stumps, leaving India in deep trouble at 58 for 4. The centurion of the first innings, KL Rahul is currently unbeaten on 33 as India need 135 runs to win the Test match, while England need six wickets.
