DC co-owner Parth Jindal backs KL Rahul for IPL 2027
The Delhi Capitals franchise has now given a clear answer to all the speculations going on for the last few days regarding the trade of star wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul. Several types of news were coming out on social media by associating Rahul with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), but Delhi Capitals have completely rejected these discussions. According to the franchise, Rahul will continue to be a part of the team, and he has yet to meet many important goals. For the last two weeks, the discussion of Rahul's possible trade has been going on continuously on social media. However, neither Delhi Capitals nor KKR had any official statement on this matter. Now, Delhi's co-owner Parth Jindal himself has clarified the situation on this matter. Parth Jindal dismisses rumors
Parth Jindal posted in support of Rahul on social media platform X, making it clear that the franchise is not sending him anywhere. He described Rahul as a very important player for the team and also praised his personality highly.
Jindal wrote, "KL is a very important player for @delhicapitals. He is one of the best people I know and always prioritizes the team before myself. Some of our works are incomplete, and we will work hard together to make Delhi proud."
KL IS KLUTCH FOR @DelhiCapitals - one of the nicest guys i know and one who puts the team before himself always. We have unfinished business and will work hard together to make Delhi proud @IPL https://t.co/RJC3JgpMsk

After this statement by Jindal, Rahul also reacted and expressed his enthusiasm about the coming season. He wrote, "Thanks, eagerly waiting for the upcoming season."

The presence of both Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul in the squad of Delhi Capitals, two big options in the form of Pant and Rahul near Delhi, definitely puts interesting options in front of the team management. Both have the ability to bat in the top order along with wicketkeeping. In such a situation, the team also has more than one option regarding the captaincy.
In recent times, Delhi has made many big changes in its team. After trading Kuldeep Yadav to the Lucknow Super Giants, the franchise joined Rishabh Pant. At the same time, due to the lack of expected performance in the 2025 and 2026 seasons, the equations of captaincy may also change in the coming times. Rahul's bat gave strength to Delhi.
After joining the Delhi Capitals, KL Rahul has been one of the most trusted batsmen of the team. In his first two seasons, he has strengthened the team's top order by scoring more than 1000 runs. His technique and ability to make big scores have been very important for Delhi. Amid Rishabh Pant's hopes of taking over as wicketkeeper, Rahul may get a chance to focus more on his batting in the coming season. He can play as a top-order batsman as an expert. Not only that, Rahul and Pant can also be seen opening the innings. Pant's desire to bat in the top order has already come to the fore.
In Lucknow Super Giants, he had the option to achieve this role, but due to the presence of foreign batsmen like Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, and Nicholas Pooran in the team, it was not possible.
KL Rahul's name started being associated with KKR when Ajinkya Rahane decided to retire from IPL and international cricket. After this, the discussions about Rahul's possible trade on social media intensified. However, Delhi Capitals almost put an end to these speculations by posting a video. The franchise wrote a very short but clear caption with the video—"Continue the noise."
The IPL 2026 was also great for KL Rahul. He scored a total of 593 runs for Delhi Capitals and finished fourth in the list of highest run-scorers in the entire tournament. His most memorable innings included an unbeaten 152 not out against Punjab Kings. In this match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Rahul scored an unbeaten 152 runs in just 67 balls. His innings included nine sixes, and his strike rate was 226.9. However, despite this stormy innings of Rahul, Delhi could not get victory. Punjab Kings chased the target successfully and defeated DC. At present, after Parth Jindal's statement, it is clear that there is no truth in the news of KL Rahul's separation from Delhi Capitals. The franchise is considering this star batsman as an important part of its plans in the coming season as well.
