Checkout the India tour of Zimbabwe 2026 full schedule

After a disappointing UK tour, the Indian team has arrived in Zimbabwe for another T20I series starting on July 23. The 'Men in Blue'—who suffered 0-2 and 0-4 defeats against Ireland and England, respectively, during the UK tour—are still searching for their first victory under Shreyas Iyer's captaincy. For this series, VVS Laxman has accompanied the team as coach in place of Gautam Gambhir. 

A couple of months ago, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officially announced the schedule for the India tour of Zimbabwe 2026. A total of 3 T20I matches will be played between the two teams. The first T20I will be played on July 23, followed by the second and third T20Is on July 25 & 26. All three T20Is will be played at Harare Sports Club, Harare. The matches will start at 4:30 PM IST.

This will be the fifth T20I series between India and Zimbabwe. Before this, both teams had played 4 T20I series; India won 3 series, while 1 series ended in a draw. Last time, both teams faced each other in a T20I match during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8, where the Indian team defeated Zimbabwe by 72 runs. 

India is currently seeking their first victory under Shreyas Iyer’s leadership. With this series, India’s T20I side wants to bounce back after a nightmare in the UK tour, where they faced clean sweeps against Ireland and England. At the same time, hosts Zimbabwe recently lost a home series 1-2 against Bangladesh and will now aim to defeat India on home soil.
